Phil Collins To Remarry Ex-Wife Who Received $46 Million Divorce Settlement

Phil Collins has reconnected with ex-wife Orianne Cevey, and the pair plan on getting married again "one day."
He told Billboard.com last month that the pair, who wed in 1999 and divorced in 2008, reconciled: "I'm actually back with my third wife. I haven't really talked about it. We've been together for a while, and nobody's noticed."
In January, Cevey filed for divorce from banker husband Charles Fouad, whom she married following her split from Collins. The Swiss native told newspaper SonntagsBlick that she and Collins hope to wed again "one day."

"I call Phil now again as my husband. We are so close that it actually makes no difference whether we are married. But we are determined to get married one day (for) a second time," she revealed.
Cevey received a $46 million settlement in her divorce to Collins. They have remained friends for their sons, Nicholas, 14, and Matthew, 11.
Cevey told the newspaper: "Love was never completely gone,. (It) was just on another level. We've known each other for 22 years, 15 as a couple. Now we feel both the same thing: 'We should never have diverged. The separation was the wrong decision... We are meant for each other...'

"We were always very close, because of the children. But just last year, I realized that he is indeed the man of my life."
Cevey said the pair's second wedding will be different because the whole family will be included. She added: "The important difference is that now our children can be there. I imagine the next celebration will be more familiar and smaller. On our first wedding in 1999 in Lausanne, we had to invite many more people to not disappoint anyone."
Collins, 65, was previously married to Andrea Collins and Jill Tavelman, the mother of their actress daughter Lily Collins.

Latest: Naira now 290/Dollar on parallel market

– Speculators disappointed as naira strengthens against dollar for the third consecutive day – IMF persuades President Buhari to remove foreign exchange ban Reports from the Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Nigeria have it that the Nigerian currency is presently selling at N290/dollar. Naij.com’s reliable sources confirmed that many BDC operators stormed banks in search of Dollar after yesterday’s appreciation of the Naira, a situation which has suddenly made it scarce. As at this morning, the Dollar had risen to about 290 in exchange rate to the Naira as speculators are still adamant that the three-day consecutive rise may not be sustained by the Nigerian government.
Few minutes ago, speculations arose that the naira may have strengthened further against the US dollar as it now goes for between 250-270/dollar. The Bureau De Change (BDC) sources, however, informed that it is impossible to state the exact amount the naira will sell for on the parallel market, but one thing that is certain is that the Nigerian currency has appreciated tremendously against the dollar in the last 48 hours. Initially, there was confusion in town over the exchange rate of the dollar to the Nigerian currency as the BDC operators are saying that it is now N305/dollar. Naij.com gathered from a reliable source in the foreign exchange market that the Nigerian currency, up from its steady rise within 48 hours, has strengthened against the dollar in the wake of President Muhammadu Buhari’s insistence that he does not support the devaluation of the currency. Speculators had been shocked by the consecutive rise on February 23, as they had predicted an all-time rise from the initial N400 (an all time low) to about 450/500 in the coming days.
There are further speculations that the amount, up from an initial N364 from Tuesday, February 23, is now at N305, while there are also unconfirmed reports that it may slip further before the end of the day. Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has persuaded President Buhari to adopt a sound petroleum industry bill (PIB) as well as expunge restrictions around foreign exchange policy. While the PIB had been in the works since 2007, it has been dogged by political controversies as well as opposition to the fiscal terms by international oil companies.
The present administration has adopted a fixed forex policy that also does not include the allowance of 41 imported items, and this has been criticised from different quarters. According to The Cable, a statement detailing IMF observations about the Nigerian economy after its visit in January, its senior resident representative to Nigeria, Gene Leon, said: “Growth is projected to improve slightly to 3.2% in 2016, but could rebound to 4.9% in 2017. “In the light of the significant macroeconomic adjustment that is needed to address the permanent terms-of-trade shock, it will be important for Nigeria to put in place an integrated package of policies centred around: fiscal discipline; reducing external imbalances; further improving efficiency of the banking sector; and fostering strong implementation of structural reforms that will enhance. “The general government deficit is projected to widen somewhat before improving in 2017, while the external current account deficit is likely to remain flat at 2.3% of GDP. Growth in credit to the private sector is projected to recover from the slump in 2015, aiding the increase in activity.
“Key risks to the outlook include lower-than-budgeted oil prices, shortfalls in non-oil revenues, a further deterioration in finances of state and local governments, and a resurgence in security concerns.”

John Stamos Shares Adorable Throwback Video Of Olsen Twins Ahead Of 'Fuller House' Premiere

'Fuller House' finally premieres on Netflix this Friday but for those looking to get a dose of nostalgia a little bit sooner, star John Stamos had the hookup via an adorable home video he shared on Instagram on Sunday.
In the clip, which is from the original 'Full House' cast's trip to Hawaii in 1989, John Stamos can be seen hugging little Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
The girls innocently walk over to their "Uncle Jesse" at first, but then Ashley gives him a tap on the head, knocking his sunglasses to the ground. Stamos pretends to be upset, leading the girls to lean in and make him feel all better.
What's funny though is the video could be viewed as a bit of foreshadowing for the dispute that played out late last year between Stamos and the now adult twins.
After the Olsen twins decided not to reprise their old role on the 'Fuller House' reboot, Stamos was reportedly 'heartbroken.' There was also some controversy over whether or not Stamos had personally discussed the reboot with Mary-Kate and Ashley or not. But eventually, just like in the video, everyone made up with each other in the end, with Stamos telling Howard Stern that he thought the twins were "very, very sweet" and that the only reason they didn't join the reboot is because they were unsure they could act again.

“I think there was some confusion. They said first I didn’t ask them. And I didn’t personally, but I was told they were asked,” Stamos told Stern. “So I had a knee-jerk reaction and said, ‘Bulls**t, I did ask them.’ And they got upset, so I did call and talked to Mary-Kate and explained what the show is going to be and told them I’d love for them to be on there and they decided not to, which I respect.”
Stamos and the rest of the 'Fuller House' producers had a little bit of fun with the public spat when it released a teaser from the premiere in which the characters break the fourth wall. The cast stares at the camera while mentioning that Michelle Tanner couldn't be there because she's working on her fashion line in New York. That's exactly what the Olsen Twins are doing in real life, of course.
Producer Jeff Franklin told reporters in January that the door will always be open for Mary-Kate and Ashley, according to Variety
"We all tried to persuade them to come and play; they decided not to at this time," Franklin said. "We’re hopeful that at some time in the future, they might change their minds and reprise Michelle. We only need one of ’em. We still love them, and the door is always open.”

Khloe Kardashian Dreamed Of Being A Victoria's Secret Model, Idolized Tyra Banks

Khloe Kardashian had big modeling aspirations when she was a little girl - she wanted to be a Victoria's Secret model.
The reality star was thrilled when her younger sister Kendall Jenner walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last year because in some way it fulfilled her own childhood fantasy.
Khloe revealed on her website: "As crazy as it is, I always wanted to a Victoria's Secret model, LOL! I loved Tyra Banks. I remember I went to a father/daughter dance with my dad and everyone was asking the daughters what they wanted to be when they grew up. All the girls said 'doctor' or 'lawyer'. I said, 'A Victoria's Secret Angel!' My dad was like, 'OMG!'

"When Kendall finally became an Angel, it was so exciting! Someone from our family did it!"
Khloe, 31, is no longer interested in strutting her stuff for the lingerie company and shifted her focus to working with children. She added:  "As I got older though, I wanted to work with kids in some capacity. My ex (Lamar Odom) and I were even trying to be foster parents at one point!"
Meanwhile, in the latest episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," Khloe's sisters Kim and Kourtney accused the star of getting Botox. "Your whole face has changed," Kim accused her sibling.
Khloe, appalled by the accusations, denied getting the beauty injection.

Photos: Meet Olusegun Obasanjo’s children

Did you know that Nigeria’s former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has 20 children?
The elder statesman in his memoir, ‘My Watch’, revealed the number of children he has in the order they were born. According to him, of the highly-successful 20 children, 19 are biological, except Kunle, who is his nephew. Obasanjo adopted Kunle as his biological child “in every sense of the word to compensate for his mother being deprived of an education by our father”.
“All my children are frightfully independent and self-assertive. I have started observing the same traits in their children, my grandchildren. In their different areas of endeavour, my children have all made a mark. Eight of them have acquired PhD degrees in their individual areas of learning.
Almost all the others have one or two master’s degrees. Iyabo, who blazed the trail for all of them, needs to be commended for being a good example and loving big sister,” Obasanjo said in his memoir. As listed by the ex-president in his memoir, his children are Iyabo, Busola, Segun, Gbenga, Deboye, Bola, Kofo, Biyi, Seun, Bisoye, Olu, Dare, Funke, Damilola, Jonwo, Dayo, Funso, Toyosi, Bukola, and Kunle.

Kim Kardashian releases adorable first picture of Saint West

The wait is over. Since his birth on Dec. 5, the world has seen nary a glimpse of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's son, Saint West, beyond his little fingers. Today, we finally get an adorable look at the little guy.
On her website, Kardashian posted a picture of Saint sleeping with his arms up, as well as a sentimental message as to why she chose today to finally share his photo. "Today is my dad's birthday," she wrote. "I know there's nothing more in the world he would have wanted than to meet his grandchildren. So I wanted to share this pic of Saint with you all."
Yeezus, he's cute! There's just so much sweetness there — the sentiment, the pose and, of course, little Saint himself. He definitely appears to look a lot like big sister North West, who looks an awful lot like Daddy.
Now we can't wait to see a whole family shot!

People Criticize Bible Verses Thinking They’re From Quran

With Islamaphobia on the rise, a pair of YouTube hosts from the Netherlands decided to conduct thought-provoking social experiment with a Bible, a Quran and random people included. Please, scroll down for video below! The duo called Dit Is Normaal simply wrapped a Bible in a Quran cover, read out several controversial verses from the book to the people on the streets, asking for their thoughts and reactions. And the results were unbelievable! Controversial passages
After reading several passages such as “If you reject my commands and abhor my laws you will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters,” “I do not allow for a woman to teach. You will have to cut off her hand” and “If two men sleep with each other they will both have to be killed”, the majority of respondents began to criticize the Quran, while describing the Bible as far more peaceful and positive.
“Cutting off people’s hands… I mean, apparently that’s just the way they are. If you’ve been raised with this book and these kinds of thoughts it’s going to influence the way you think,” the woman said. “The world is changing and I think they should have to adapt to it,” another interviewed woman responded. “If you’ve been raised with this book and these kind of thoughts it’s going to influence the way you think,” a young man added. “To me this sounds like they want to oppress you and force you to believe what they believe,” a visibly shocked woman said.

Ancient Bible claims Jesus Christ is Prophet, not son of God

The 1500-year-old bible was found in Turkey, in the Ethnography Museum of Ankara

A 1500-year-old Bible found in Turkey claims Jesus Christ was not crucified – It also states he was not the son of God but a Prophet – Religious authorities insist that the book is authentic Earth-shattering news are coming from various websites! The 1500-year-old Bible, which was discovered in Ankara, Turkey’s capital, in 2000, refutes the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Moreover, it says that he was not the son of God but a Prophet, who didn’t die and ascended into heaven alive.
t also states that it was Judas Iscariot who was actually crucified and calls Apostle Paul the Impostor. This information was taken from the gospel of Barnabas, who in this work is one of the twelve apostles.
There is a theory that the modern Bible was formed out of four canonical gospels by the Catholic Church during the Council of Nicea, while the Gospel of Barnabas as well as many others were ommitted. The book along with antiquities, illegal excavations, and explosives were reportedly confiscated from a group of smugglers in a Mediterranean-area operation. It is written in the Aramaic laguage with gold letters and onto loosely-tied leather.
The Bible that contradicts the New Testament teachings of Christianity is reportedly valued up to 40 million Turkish Liras (about $28m). While authenticity of the book is still under question some experts and religious authorities believe that it is original. However, some scholars branded the Gospel of Barnabas Bible a forgery written during the Middle Ages. Meanwhile, the Vatican has asked Turkish authorities to let them examine the contents of the book.

Actress Gillian Jacobs on Starring in Love—And Why Los Angeles Makes You Blonder

Gillian Jacobs is 30 minutes early. She is by herself. She’s relaxed and hilariously honest. This defies every clichĂ© attached to being the star of the season’s most binge-worthy series, and simultaneously explains why Judd Apatow had her in mind for the lead female role in Love, which premiered on Netflix last night. The 10-episode show takes a realistic, unkempt look at relationships, which, in episode two, literally throws romantic comedies including Pretty Woman and When Harry Met Sally . . . out the window. According to Jacobs, Apatow called her about joining the series just after she had been cast on Girls. “It was a dream—one of those too-good-to-be-true [things].”
On the show, Jacobs plays Mickey, a loose cannon of a 32-year-old who is often without a wallet but never farther than arm’s reach from a pill bottle or pipe, and is self-described as “the queen of eating shit.” One would imagine that she never runs early. “I’ve been doing plays from the time I was little—being on time waslate,” explains Jacobs of her own lifelong commitment to punctuality, a habit that has occasionally landed her on red carpets before they’ve even been rolled out. What she does share with her character is a personal ease that extends to her relationship with beauty. For dates, hikes, or dinner with friends, “I don’t wear makeup. I just want to get dressed and go out the door,” she confesses. Just weeks before the show’s premiere, Jacobs sat down to talk about, among other things, why keeping her natural hair color feels revolutionary and the best way to pass the time while sitting in Los Angeles traffic.
You grew up in theater and have had starring roles on CommunityGirls, and now Love—you must have learned a lot about makeup backstage and on set by now.
I’m not very good at doing makeup by myself, so [when I did theater] I always talked myself into thinking that all of my characters were just mascara-and-blush type of girls. [laughs] I still don’t feel comfortable doing it. I honestly don’t ever wear makeup when I’m not working—not even mascara, only lip balm if my lips are chapped; that Rosebud [Salve] is some good stuff. Tilda Swinton makes me feel like it’s all right to go out without makeup on. She is the queen of not wearing any makeup and still looking incredible.
Do you have the same philosophy for your hair?
Yes. I’m on the lazy to low-maintenance end of the spectrum. My hair is wash-and-go, and my natural texture has a bit of wave to it. It’s pretty close to my natural texture on [Love]. This is also my natural hair color, which feels revolutionary. Something that happened to me when I went to [Los Angeles] is that I slowly got more and more blonde. And my hair started to resemble straw at a certain point. It was so dry, it was really bumming me out. And I realized, there’s no reason that I have to be this blonde. It’s just sort of, like, what you do in L.A. Now my hair is so much healthier.
What else has changed since you moved to Los Angeles?
There are a lot of vegetables I’d never eaten before I moved there, like Swiss chard, golden beets, or, it’s clichĂ© at this point, but kale. My vocabulary of vegetables has greatly expanded. [In New York] I was eating dollar pizza, falafel, and a lot of samples at nice grocery stores and calling it a lunch. But when you get off the plane in L.A., they’re like, “Welcome. Let me take you to Beverly Hills Juice Club.” And you’re thinking, I’ve arrived in the land of green juice!
Do you make green juice at home now?
No, not at all. Once again: too lazy. But I will drink it if it is offered to me. At home it’s coffee. I’m still a New Yorker at heart.
Fitness is such a huge part of Los Angeles culture—do you find yourself working out more?
It’s hard [in L.A.]. You drive to go hike. And when you’re walking, all of the people driving in cars are staring at you! I’m trying to be better about hiking with my dog, Mick. He’s an old dog, but he’s surprisingly spry! I feel like I owe it to him to take him on some hikes. Otherwise, I’m a very sporadic SoulCycler. [I’ve never been athletic.] I actually hid the sign-up sheets for sports [when I was a kid] so my mom couldn’t sign me up. My dad got me a skiing lesson when I was little, and he came back after an hour and the instructor was like, “She refused to move.” It was too dangerous! I am the opposite [of a daredevil]. I am conscious of any physical risk, even high-impact things like running—I’ve been planning to be an old person since I was a child. It’s preventative. [laughs] Just be afraid of everything. Your joints will thank you later.
Are there benefits to driving?
One advantage of driving in L.A. [are eye masks]. I struggle with dark circles under my eyes, and especially when I’m shooting a lot, they can get kind of puffy. So Le Mieux’s little eye masks have really been helpful for me. They put them on me in the makeup trailer [at work], but I’ve fully driven to work with them on. No shame. Just put on a pair of big sunglasses and fool yourself into thinking that no one can see them.
What else do you do for skin care?
I had to be told that you can’t wash your face with soap. I didn’t grow up knowing I should use a face wash and I should moisturize. But I’ve been introduced to so many more products and steps in skin care by working with a lot of different makeup artists [on set]. I discovered a lot of things that I really love, [like] Dr. Lancer’s face scrub—it’s one of the best exfoliating scrubs I’ve ever used. I have aLe Mieux face wash, but if I’m wearing a lot of makeup, I rub Tatcha oil on my face to try to break it up, and then [it comes right off].
What do you use for fragrance?
Guess what, I’m not wearing anything.

Meet The Stealth Accessory Behind Jaden Smith’s Glowing Skin

Jaden Smith’s complexion is eternally glowing. And no, it’s not the fact that his aura is electrified with the constant dose of paparazzi camera flashes: His skin possesses a natural, Zen-like radiance—untouched by exhaustion or typical teenage blemishes. It makes sense: His staple accessory happens to be the healthiest of them all—a gallon jug of water.
As he has plenty of times in the past, Smith toted the drinkware full of H2O all around during Fashion Week, putting it on full display, whether he was entangled with the Jenner crew or en route to Yeezy Season 3, with 3.78 liters in one hand and girlfriend Sarah Snyder’s palm in the other.
Smith has even tweeted about his love of distilled water (a boiled  form of H2O that contains fewer impurities). With the recommended daily serving set at 13 cups for men, his gallon jug clocks in just over the mark for optimal hydration. In other words, Smith might be onto something when it comes to his constant liquid carry-all. In fact, maybe it’s something to drink to.

Best Fashion Instagrams of the Week: Beyoncé Descends Upon the Grammys in All White

Was that a mirage of BeyoncĂ© that appeared on the Grammy Awards stage this past Monday? Watching her practically hover within the cloud of white that draped from her Inbal Dror gown, it was easy to think so. But the “Formation” singer was merely in full form to bestow the Song of the Year gramophone trophy to fellow Super Bowl performer Bruno Mars. And just to make her appearance truly official, she snapped a pic for the ’gram, floating serenely down a snow-color staircase.
In another all-white ensemble, Kendall Jenner celebrated Valentine’s Day with a crew of friends in Pizza Boys hoodies. The night before, she and besties Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin had served up pies upon pies to Up and Down club kids who came out to see the ZaZa boys deejay during New York Fashion Week. CL also got into the hoodie vibe this week, taking the must-have item of the season for a cool spin. Slipping on an oversize logomania KRSP number for theJeremy Scott show, CL looked both front row–ready and ever the stylish rabble-rouser.

5 Things You Didn’t Know About Lady Gaga

Is it just us, or is Lady Gaga suddenly everywhere? Last month, she won a Golden Globe for her role on American Horror Story and simultaneously created a GIF moment to remember. On Monday, she managed to cram 10 David Bowieimpersonations into seven minutes when she was tapped to pay tribute to the late rocker at the Grammys, and, three days later, she wore a pussy-bow blouse and ’20s-style finger waves while walking Marc Jacobs’s Fall show. In honor of her omnipresence in shows of all sorts, we decided to do a little digging on Mother Monster. Here, five things you likely didn’t know about Lady Gaga.
1. Lady Gaga owes her stage name to her friends. In the mid-2000s, Gaga was performing under her given name, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, and started the Stefani Germanotta Band (SGBand). The singer told Vogue.com: “My friends on the Lower East Side called me Gaga after I decided I like the name Lady Gaga, after the Queen song [‘Radio Ga Ga’]. I thought it accurately depicted both sides of me.”
2. While Gaga committed to music early on—she dropped out of New York University after her freshman year to pursue her passion full-time—she also had a brief flirtation with acting. When she was 15 years old, Gaga had a blink-and-you-miss-her role on The Sopranos, and, a few years later, she also had a brief cameo on The Hills. Kelly Cutrone, an executive of The Hills, spoke to MTV in 2010 about Gaga’s oft-forgotten role: “You know Lady Gaga; we put her on The Hills. Do you remember that? Nobody remembers,” Cutrone said. “MTV has got to take credit for this right now because People’s Revolution put Lady Gaga on TV before anybody.”
3. Gaga’s outrageous performance style didn’t always rub people the right way, and at one point, that included her own father. The singer recalls when her dad first saw her onstage, she was wearing “a leopard-thong-fringed bikini with a sequined high-waisted belt and granny panties, and it was so wrong, it was amazing.” While he stayed throughout the entire performance, and told Gaga that she “did a great job,” he was concerned for his daughter’s well-being. “He was shocked. And alarmed,” she said. “My mother told me he broke down and told her he thought I was crazy. Really crazy. Later that week, my family said, ‘It was just really hard to watch that show, and we think you’ve lost your mind and we don’t know what to do.’ ”
4. She wrote her first hit, “Just Dance,” in record time. “I was very hungover. I wrote the song in about 10 minutes with [producer] RedOne. And it was my first time being in a Hollywood studio. Very pristine, big huge room with giant speakers.” She told The Guardian in 2009 that she initially had trouble getting radio stations to play it. “We’ve been trying to get it played in the U.S. since March,” she said. “I mean, it just doesn’t sound like Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed a Girl’—which is a beautiful, lovely, amazing hit record and it sounds like a radio hit. My song doesn’t sound like a radio hit. I mean, it does, but it doesn’t.”
5. While Gaga is credited as one of the most innovative artists in the business, she’s also responsible for a revolutionary invention in the world of perfume. When she was creating her first fragrance, Fame, she told executives at Coty that she wanted the liquid to be black in the bottle and clear when it sprayed. “I started to sweat on my forehead,” Yael Tuil, the vice president of global marketing at Coty, told Vogue in 2012. “I said, ‘My God! That’s impossible! How can we do that?’ ” Eventually, scientists developed a potion to meet Gaga’s specs, and the company now has a patent pending for the black-to-clear liquid technology. “She was really behind the most important innovation in the fragrance industry in the last 20 years,” Tuil said. “She is really pushing boundaries.”

He stressed that the collective efforts of Nigerians were responsible for the electoral victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.

What was accomplished in 2015 was not a singular effort. It was done through the collective love and labor of millions of Nigerians. A handful of them were well known. Most of them are hardworking anonymous people who together constitute the backbone and great strength of this nation. “God in His wisdom placed me in the position to recognize the change that was needed and to help effectuate that change. I thank God for giving me this chance and for allowing me to be born a black man and a Nigerian,” he said.
Meanwhile, the former president Goodluck Jonathan was named the ‘Person of the Year’ by The African Sun Times. The-ex president expressed gratitude to Africa’s number one and largest newspaper in the USA and noted that Nigerian people were more deserving of this honour.

Aisha Buhari commissions Erisco Foods tomato paste plant

– Aisha Buhari commissioned ERISCO Foods Limited tomato processing factory in Oregun, Lagos state – Mrs Buhari tasked government regulatory agencies to check the import of foreign and substandard foods into the country
Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Toyin Saraki, the wife of the Senate president, and Bolanle Ambode, the first lady of Lagos state, were among dignitaries to grace the commissioning of a tomato processing factory in Oregun, Lagos state, on Thursday, February 18. The Sun reports that ERISCO Foods Limited commissioned its new 450,000 tonnes tomato paste processing plant constructed at a cost of N4 billion ($150 million).
While inaugurating the plant, Mrs Buhari tasked government regulatory agencies to check the import of foreign and substandard foods into the country to protect local manufacturers and the health of Nigerians “I think we have imported enough and we have to change that culture of importing things we can produce locally. “This is part of the change we are talking about that must happen in the country. Local food manufacturers have to be encouraged to grow as that is the only way to create employment for the youths and help local farmers to benefit more from their labour. Nigerians must also patronize local companies and their products,” she said.
Also speaking, Eric Umeofia, the president/CEO of Erisco Foods, said the new plant uses the latest technology that allows fresh tomatoes sourced from local farmers to be processed into tomato paste. Umeofia explained that the idea of the new plant was born out of the need to resolve the glut in the tomato products from local farmers. “I visited northern Nigeria frequently in the recent past and I saw how more than 75% of tomatoes harvested yearly are being wasted. Sadly, however, Nigeria spends about $1 billion importing tomato paste from abroad. All that will end with the inauguration of this project. Our new technology in this facility puts an end to all the waste Nigerian farmers are suffering over the years because it is a backward integration project investment we have made for Nigeria. “We can now take 10 trucks of fresh tomatoes daily and process the fresh tomatoes to tomato paste and this factory is the first of its kind in Africa,” he said. Senator Ben Murray Bruce and the Senate president Bukola Saraki have recently started the campaign to encourage patronage of made-in-Nigeria products. Hajia Aisha Abubakar, the minister of state for industry, trade and investment, revealed that the federal government has also made plans to launch a campaign that will encourage people to patronise made-in-Nigeria products. “We have the people, we have the brain, we have the resources, and so there is nothing stopping us. As a nation we are proud of our commodities, we are proud of our products,” she said.

                                                       D’banj and Don Jazzy
It was all fun few hours ago at the Eko Hotel, venue of senator Ben Murray-Bruce’s 60th birthday bash.
he show had  in attendance top people in the society and several music stars including the Mavin crew led by Don Jazzy/ Don Jazzy’s estranged friend of the defunct MoHitz Records, Dbanj, was also there,  among others. After the likes of Tuface Idibia, Timaya, MI, Wizkid, Koredo Bello, Reekado Bank among many others had performed, it was D’banj’s turn to do his thing. He performed and got the audience elated with his unique performance. His performance got to the climax when he went to the crowd to bring out the birthday boy. Ben Bruce got to the stage, collected the microphone from D’banj and started calling out to Don Jazzy to join them on the stage.
Don Jazzy was nowhere to be found. Dbanj also rushed to the crowd to fetch his erstwhile friend, Don Jazzy, but he had disappeared. Meanwhile one of the wishes of the birthday boy for the night was for the duo (Don Jazzy and D’banj) to perform together on one stage. He made D’banj to promise he would do, once more, an award winning duet with Don Jazzy, just to tell the world no more war. But Don Jazzy had left the bash. Lol.
At this point, D’banj said: ” Uncle Ben, what you are asking me to do, I have done already. As I was coming up the stage, I saw him sitting over there and I told him I will call him on stage for a joint performance, but now he has run away. If you want us to do a duet, talk to Don Jazzy; It’s in his hands because if he agrees tomorrow, we will do it next tomorrow. I am ready anytime”. However, when Don Jazzy noticed Twitter was on his case, insinuating he left the birthday party venue so as not to perform jointly with D’banj, he tweeted these: Dear Don Jazzy, we hear you! We know you are smart..lol!

Boko Haram chased away from all LGAs in Borno – PMB

– Buhari claims that Boko Haram was chased out from all LGAs – Technical defeat of Boko Haram cause resurgence in the morale and will of the Nigerian Armed Forces – The president promised to leave no stone unturned in the anti-corruption crusade
President Muhammadu Buhari has insisted that the deadly Boko Haram sect was chased away from all the local government areas they previously held captive before he came into office. He said this while addressing members of the diplomatic corps during a reception he organized in their honor at the state house on February 18, Thursday. “It is worthy to note that when I assumed office on May 29th 2015, Boko Haram had full control of fourteen (14) Local Government areas in the North East, but today, the group holds no territory in Nigeria. They are hiding in Sambisa forest and occasionally undertake cowardly attacks on innocent citizens in soft targets,” the president noted. While emphasizing that the Nigerian army have been given specific orders on rules of engagement to treat arrested insurgents humanely and to avoid civilian casualties, Buhari added that his government has witnessed resurgence in the morale and will to remove Boko Haram from their bases in the North East.  President Buhari said: “The changes in both command structure and operational tactics have brought about significant gains on the ground.” The leader of the nation noted that people who were once internally displaced from their homes for years are slowly returning to rebuild their homes, communities and livelihood. “As the security situation continues to improve, and as more people return to their homes, government will spare no effort to support them with robust programmes and projects to hasten the process of rehabilitation and resettlement,” Buhari continued. “We are quite aware that the war on terror will not, and cannot be won by military means alone. We need a soft approach that speaks directly to the human mind. Poverty and hunger do not only incapacitate, but they can lead to desperation. “We are also aware that poverty and marginalization, amongst other factors, can easily create room for indoctrination and co-option into violent extremism. “Accordingly, we are paying attention to those economic programmes that will lead to empowerment of the people and thus provide an alternative lifestyle of fruitful engagement rather than resort to extremist and terrorist activities. Job creation and provision of quality education are key areas that are already receiving our attention.” The president also restated his intention to leave no stone unturned in his stride to rid the country of corruption. Emphasizing that Nigeria’s democracy is growing and gaining ground, Buhari added that there is no alternative to democracy. “We are resolved to build a stable and prosperous Nigeria, a country that is inclusive of all her diverse peoples and a country that is at ease with itself. “Building such a country will not be possible where corruption is pervasive. Mindful of this, it has become necessary to wage a relentless war against the cancer of corruption. So long as corruption holds center stage in the affairs of Nigeria, the country will continue to suffer incalculable harm. “You are witnesses to the preliminary findings that have emerged in the past few weeks from our investigations into corrupt practices in different sectors of Nigeria’s Public Service. “I will leave no stone unturned in the efforts to rid Nigeria of corruption.  I must however, add that in doing this, we shall operate within the ambit of the law,” he said. President Buhari as he vowed during the election campaign has taken steps to crackdown on Nigeria’s corrupt bureaucracy and Boko Haram’s six-year insurgency. He recorded some success in the war against the terrorists as the country’s leader announced that the sect was technically defeated. However, Boko Haram went on rampage, killing innocent civilians and launching fresh massacres.

Davido reveals how his father got him arrested

– Nigerian pop star Davido has revealed that his father Chief Adedeji Adeleke had him arrested in 2011 – He is on the cover of international music magazine, Fader Magazine – He spoke on his life in the United Kingdom
Nigerian pop star Davido has revealed that his father Chief Adedeji Adeleke had him arrested in 2011. According to Davido who is on the cover of International music publication, Fader Magazine, his father got him arrested because he had gone off radar and also broke his sim card.

He spoke extensively in an interview with the publication.
Below is an excerpt of Davido’s interview Fader Magazine feature; “His grades slipped, and after three semesters, he dropped out and left town without telling his father. First he went to Atlanta, where he used his older brother’s ID to get into clubs, and funneled the money Chief Adeleke sent for school and living expenses toward drinks and motels. Later, he threw out his SIM card and hopped on a plane to London, where he went MIA for several months as he shifted his focus from production to vocals. “There was no Snapchat, no Instagram. There was barely Twitter,” he says. “I just went off the radar.”
“Chief Adeleke, meanwhile, had been on the hunt for his son. When Davido finally returned to Lagos in 2011, with new tattoos and piercings, his father had him apprehended by police officers at the airport. Having failed to bring home the business management degree he’d been sent to America to complete, Davido reached a compromise with his father: he, still a teenager, would attend a private university two hours north of the city. His music dreams would be sidelined until he had honored his family by graduating. Davido returned to school, but often snuck out of his dorm room to hobnob at industry parties and blew off exams to record.”
