Kanye West Credits Kim Kardashian’s Late Father for Helping Him Finish His Album From Heaven

The gospel of Yeezus is the product of divine intervention.

Kanye West has credited a lot of artists for inspiring his latest untitled album, but it turns out his biggest inspiration (other than Kim Kardashian obviously) isn’t an artist at all. During an interview with Big Boy yesterday (Feb. 4, 2016), West credits his wife’s late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., for helping him finish the album, “He’s still doing deals for controversial black people from up in heaven.”

West also credits his mother Donda West, who in the past he said spoke through him while recording the song “Only One.” “I’m only doing 2 percent of the work,” the rapper insisted. “God is doing the rest of the work.”

For those of you wondering, West still hasn’t decided on a title for the album, and it sounds like he won’t decide until its release date. But he is telling fans what to expect when the album drops, “ultra, light, beams.” “It’s a gospel album, with a whole lot of cursing on it. It’s the gospel, according to ‘Ye,” he said. “It’s not exactly what happened in the Bible, but it’s a story of the ideas of Mary Magdalene becoming Mary.”
